The reason is simple: willow is a fast-growing natural resource that is sustainable for our future. In addition, this material is easy to process, robust and durable.

The naturally grown and extremely long, straight branches of the willow tree are ideal for weaving wicker. What is special about willow rods is above all their flexibility. In controlled cultivation, only the branches that grow back quickly are harvested.
In contrast to the paper industry, for example, the deforestation of the trees is avoided.

The processing of willow is done by hand and does not require industrial, energy-intensive equipment or environmentally harmful chemicals. We also keep the value chain as short as possible to reduce the carbon footprint.
