A braided journey...

The remote location of the mountainous Carpathian region in Eastern Europe has helped preserve traditional processing techniques to this day.

Just like with the ancestors, the willow shrubs are cultivated by regional farmers. The willow is maintained until harvest, so that the willow rods have a perfect structure and shape for further processing.

..from wide green pastures..

After harvesting, the willow branches are boiled hot. This makes the cooked vine tender and pliable, and the rind is quick and easy to remove. As a final step, the peeled willow is dried and prepared for weaving.

After that, only the technical talent and the braiding technique count!

..in our living room

In order to give the wickerwork a stable structure, the braiding threads are connected to one another and formed into unique pieces by hand, which requires a great deal of strength and finesse.

Join us on this adventure and explore unique wickerwork in a wide variety of variations, from an elegant, traditional look to a puristic design.
